The blog carousel shortcode displays a list of specified blog posts in a carousel. This shortcode allows you to display a specified amount of posts with an option to show the excerpt.

Creating Blog Posts
Blog carousel shortcode displays blog posts. In order for the shortcode to have something to display, blog posts must be added. For more information about creating blog posts, read creating a blog post article.
Displaying Blog Carousel
To add the blog carousel:
Showing Specific Posts
There are three settings in posts carousel settings pop-up which allow you to show the items based on specific categories, IDs or authors: Select Specific Categories, Select Specific Posts and Select Specific Authors.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Select Specific Categories | Shows items only from specified categories. |
Select Specific Posts | Shows only the specified posts. |
Select Specific Authors | Shows only posts from the specified author. |
Altering the Posts Sorting
There are two settings in posts carousel settings pop-up which allow you to alter the items’ sorting: Order and Orderby
By default, the order and orderby settings are set to Ascending and Date therefore it sorts the older items ahead of newer items.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Order | Sets the ascending or descending order of the Orderby parameter. |
Orderby | Sorts the items based on the selected parameter (date, menu order, title, …). |
Configuring the Shortcode
There are 4 settings in the posts carousel settings pop-up to customize how the shortcode works.

Heading title | Displays title above the blog carousel. |
View all page | Sets a custom URL for the view all link above the blog carousel. |
How many posts | Displays a specific amount of posts. |
