Ken Styling Options

The Ken provides a convenient method to customize different characteristics of a page inside the page editing screen in the dashboard. On each page edit screen there is a meta box called Ken Styling Options in which you can override global options of the theme settings section for that specific page. In this article we are going to describe those options in detail.

Ken Styling Options

1Custom Settings.  

To enable Ken Styling Options you need enable custom settings. Enabling this will override options you have set in theme settings and will use Ken Styling Options of the current page instead. You should enable this option if you want to override global background values defined in Theme Settings. Please note that this option will only apply to the background selector and layout selector, not other options in this metabox.

2Upload Logo (Dark & default).  

This logo will be used when transparent header is enabled and the header skin is dark.

3Upload Retina Logo (Dark & default).  

Use this option if you want your logo to appear crystal clean in Retina devices (eg. Macbook Retina, iPad, iPhone).

4Upload Logo (Light Skin).  

This logo will be used when transparent header is enabled and the header skin is light.

5Upload Retina Logo (Light Skin).  

Use this option if you want your logo to appear crystal clean in Retina devices(eg. Macbook Retina, iPad, iPhone).

6Upload Logo (Mobile Version).  

Use this option to change your logo for mobile devices.

Use this option if you want your logo to appear crystal clean in Retina devices (eg. Macbook Retina, iPad, iPhone).

8Choose Layout.  

Choose between a full or a boxed layout to set how your website’s layout will look. Available options are:

  1. Boxed Layout
  2. Full Width Layout
9Background color & texture.  

Use this option to set backgrounds for different parts of the website, including:

  1. Header
  2. Page Title
  3. Page
  4. Footer
  5. Body (In case Boxed Layout is selected)

On each of those sections you will have options below to set:

  1. Background Color: Use this option to set background color of the section.
  2. Background Image: Use this option to upload a background image for the section.
  3. Background Repeat: Use this option to set how background should repeat. Available options are:
    • No Repeat
    • Repeat Vertically
    • Repeat Horizontally
    • Repeat both ways
  4. Background Attachment: Use this option to set how the background should attach to the section. Available options are:
    • Scroll
    • Fixed
  5. Background Position: Use this option to set how the background should position itself to the section. Use the graphical tool to fine tune position.
  6. Background Fit and Stretch: Enable this option to scale the background image to be as large as possible so that the background area is completely covered by the background image. Some parts of the background image may not be in view within the background positioning area.

10Page Title Effect.  

Use this option to set an animation for scrolling in page title area. Available options are:

  1. Parallax
  2. Parallax Zoom Out
  3. Gradient
11Page Title Section Padding.  

Use this option to add a padding space in page title section. Value added in this option will be added to both top and bottom of the section. Default value for this is 40 pixels.

12Page Title Section Full Height.  

Enable this option if you want to have page title section set as full height in front end.

13Page Title Align.  

Use this option to set the alignment of title text in page title section. Available options are:

  1. Title on Left
  2. Title on Center
  3. Title on Right
14Page Title Text Size.  

Use this option to set the size of title in page title section. Default value for this is 18 pixels.

15Page Title Letter Spacing.  

Use this option to set the letter spacing of title in page title section. Default value for this is 0 pixels.

16Page Title Font Weight.  

Use this option to set the font weight of title in page title section. Some options may have no effect in front end, depending on which font you use in theme settings and whether the font supports that specific weight or not. Available options are:

  1. Semi Bold
  2. Bold
  3. Bolder
  4. Normal
  5. Light
17Page Title Color.  

Use this option to set the color of title in page title section.

18Breadcrumb Skin.  

Use this option to set the skin of breadcrumb area. Dark skin is for light color backgrounds and light for dark backgrounds. Available options are:

  1. Dark
  2. Light
  3. Custom
19Breadcrumb Custom Color.  

If you choose custom option for item 18, this option will be available for you to set the color of breadcrumb text.

20Breadcrumb Custom Hover Color.  

If you choose custom option for item 18, this option will be available for you to set the color of breadcrumb text on mouse over.
