In this article we try to gather cases that cause Template Errors. The article will evolve during the course of time to cover all possible Template Errors cases
Import Data Could Not Be Read. Please Try a Different File
This error is caused because of the wrong permission settings on your server. All of your WordPress installation files and folders should have write permission. For more information click here. Also make sure that you upload the zip file itself. Do not unzip the template file.
If you still have problems uploading the template from WordPress Admin, try to do that via FTP as follows:
- Go to themes.artbees.net/template and download your desired template zip file.
- Access your website via FTP client and go to this folder: wp-content/uploads/mk_templates/jupiter (If you do not see such a folder create one.)
- Unzip the file downloaded in step 1.
- Upload the contents of step 3 to the folder mentioned in step 2 using your FTP client.
- Go to your website dashboard > Appearance > Install Template.
- Now you should see the template listed for installation. Click on the install button and finish the process.
Maximum Execution Time (max_execution_time) : 30
Maximum Execution Time (max_execution_time) : 30 seconds. Recommended max_execution_time should be at least 60 Seconds. This error happens because your server does not have enough time to execute PHP commands. To fix that you need to set the max_execution_time and some other important options in the php.ini file of your server as follows:
upload_max_filesize = 32M
post_max_size = 48M
memory_limit = 128M
max_execution_time = 600
max_input_vars = 10000
max_input_time= 400
If you are using a shared hosting, you will not have access to the php.ini file and you need to contact your hosting service provider to do this for you.

Request URI Too Large
This is a settings problem under Appache Web Server. Under Apache, the limit is a configurable value, LimitRequestLine. Change this value to something larger than its default of 8190 if you want to support a longer request URI.
If you do not have access to Appache settings, contact your hosting service provider to do this change for you.
Please Be Patient While Template Is Being Imported
The normal wait time for the downloading the Demo Content and installing the Template should not exceed 15 minutes threshold depending on the speed of your internet connection. If you see the message below and it freezes more than 15 minutes you need to make sure that php-xml package is installed on your server.
Please be patient while template is being imported. This process may take a couple of minutes
The php-xml is a default package of PHP language which helps it to parse the XML files which is needed for the Template installation. In most servers this module is pre-packaged on the default installation, but they may be cases that a separate installation of that package is needed and that is why system freezes in such cases. To fix this issue you need to contact your hosting service provider and ask them to install the php-xml package.
HTTPS (SSL) Mixed Content
Jupiter and The Ken are 100% HTTPS compatible themes. Having said that, there are some cases that customers add our themes to a current installation of WordPress that may not have necessary steps taken to be HTTPS (SSL Enabled) compatible. That is why in some cases users get the HTTPS Mixed Content error. The error indicated that there are contents in the website that are loaded from none SSL enabled addresses. To fix this problem you need to do the steps below:
- Go to WordPress Admin Menu > Settings > General and make sure the domain and URL of the website has https at the beginning of the URL. A correct example: https://yourwebsite.com/
- Make sure that you Clear the Cache so that you see the latest version of the content. For more information click here.
- In some cases you may need to uninstall and install the 3rd party plugins such as Layer Slider, Revolution Slider and in some cases the Artbees Modified Visual Composer plugin.
- You need to make sure that all the links on your content refer to the https version when adding the link. A good 3rd party plugin to do the test is the SSL Insecure Content Fixer plugin.
White Page (Blank Page) When Trying to Install the Theme
If you encounter a problem upon installation of the theme or template of the theme where you see a White Page (Blank Page), it shows that there is a PHP error happening, but because your server is set to not show the errors you can not see the error. Read this article to know how to enable the Error Display on your server and WordPress installation.
