Updating plugins helps you benefit from the latest functionalities and bug fixes, as well as secure your website against vulnerabilities.

Note: Before updating the plugins, you need to update your theme. After updating the theme, updates for your plugins will be available.

In this article, we’ll explain the different methods of updating bundled/third party plugins.

Updating the Plugins

The plugins update process is easy and straightforward. In following sections, we explain how to update bundled and third-party plugins.

Updating Bundled Plugins

Bundled plugins are included in the Jupiter X theme as well as their update. These plugins have to be updated through the Jupiter X control panel, otherwise you may face some issues while updating.

  • Elementor
  • Raven
  • Jet Elements
  • WPBakery Visual Composer (Modified Version)
  •  Artbees Themes Captcha
  • Layer Slider
  • Slider Revolution
  • Master Slider
  • Contact Form 7

In this example, we’ll explain how to update the Elementor plugin.

Note: Before updating any of the bundled plugins, you must update the Jupiter X theme first. Read the Updating Jupiter theme and child theme article for more information.

To update Elementor:

From the WordPress left menu, go to Jupiter X.

From the control panel, click on Plugins.

If an update is available, you will see the Update button below Elementor. Click on it.

On the next popup, click on the Continue button.

After a few seconds, you should be presented with the message below. Click on the Ok button.

The Elementor plugin is now updated.

Updating Third-Party Plugins

From the WordPress left menu, go to Plugins > Installed Plugins.

If an update for the plugin is available, you will be presented with the update notification below that plugin. Read the plugin update changelog.

Click on the Update Now button. Be patient while WordPress updates the plugin.
