Howdy Team Artbees. We’re spinning our wheels and the best solution to properly anchor to an ID in an Advanced Tabs content block. We have two pages that use this feature, each seemingly needs their own offset to properly scroll to an anchor to the tabbed content. We figured out how to anchor to the correct tab, but the scroll to isn’t working and impacting the UX.

    Hi there,

In fact, this is all about finding the best practice to do that. You are using a vertical tab and each tab has a unique ID that helps open the tab with anchor links. However, since they are vertically positioned, it tells the browser to scroll down to the place it finds the ID of the anchor links. Maybe it’s better to switch to a horizontal tab in this case. or use another anchor on top of the tab, and link to that anchor (however, this way the tabs won’t be open).

The best workaround in my opinion is to use a custom JS and add an extra parameter to the page and use a combination of a URL parameter and a constant anchor point. This way you can handle the URL parameter and open the tab manually via JS, and also scroll to the correct position. Please note that you are using the Essential Addons plugin to implement this tab and even if it was our tab plugin, providing such JS snippet would be out of the support scope. In case you need someone to develop this for you, please feel free to contact WPDOne:

    Hope it helps ūüôā

    Best regards
