    Hi,

On the homepage of this website (http://www.daad.nl), I’ve added some anchor links in the bottom menu and to some icons, so users can easily scroll to the designated section/page.

In the development phase, this function worked properly. When we moved this to the production server it all of a sudden didn’t. It gives me the error I included in the attachment.

Strange enough the anchor links do work on http://www.daad.nl/ontwerp

    Please help.

    Kind Regards,

    Ralph Groenink

I tried to log in but got this https://prnt.sc/u1zojc

In case you’ve WordPress version 5.5?

Since WP version 5.5, WordPress has removed support for jQuery migrate and I suspect the issue is related to that. To address this issue, WordPress has released a plugin, please install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ and see if this helps.

    Hi,

I’ve seen the message on your forum about the jQuery migration and I have installed this specific plugin before I created the ticket.

As I expected, it didn’t help, because I haven’t updated to version 5.5 yet.

The issues as shown in your screenshot have been resolved, so you should be able to access the site again.

Is it possible to have a look and help me to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ralph,

Please accept my sincere apologies for the delayed response. I resolved the issue with the console. Replacing $ with jQuery in the custom code you added to the Insert Headers and Footers plugin resolved the issue. However, it didn’t resolve the scrolling problem. I tried deactivating the theme but it didn’t help at all. It appears to be a non-theme related issue. Is there any possibility that you can check it with the HScrollElementor plugin support? I believe the issue must be debugged from their side.

    Best Regards

    Hi Mohsin,

Thanks for you reply and for resolving the jQuery issue. I see this is not related to the scrolling issue. I will contact the developer of the HScroll plugin. Thanks for the help so far.

    Kind Regards
