    Hello Artbees

I need your advice, please. I am currently optimising all websites in my stable for Google Core Web Vitals. I am using this website (Southern Workwear) as an example.

When I put the website through a Page Speed Test (in Google Search Console) for Mobile I see that the core widget for Icon Box keeps on appearing before my designed settings appear. Please see screen grab attached. The image is not very clear but the core (un-styled) widget is the blue line of text appearing in Screen One underneath the red site logo. Only in Screen Five does the Icon Box render into the style I have applied. This process increases the loading speed. Please let me know how to fix this.

I see the same loading (from the core widget to the finally styled element) on the desktop version of the site and also on some of my other websites. The optimisation tools I am currently using on all my client’s website are WP Rocket and Imagify.

    Best regards,
    Willem

    Hello,

I checked the site but didn’t see the issue https://prnt.sc/1q9vdl7 .

    Which page are you checking?

Could you clarify where I can see this issue?

    Regards.

    Hello Tatyana

The issue is on every page but, please, view the screen grab from Google Search Console. This is a very important indicator of loading. The screen grab is from this page: https://southernworkwear.co.za/dust-coats/

    Best regards,
    Willem

    Hello,

I see you have a lot of plugins installed. Do you need them all activated?

At first I recommend you to deactivate Raven and Jupiter Donut plugin.

Raven is deprecated and Jupiter Donut is required only if you are using WPBakery Page Builder (as I see you don’t have it installed).

Also I didn’t see issue in the Page Speed Insights https://prnt.sc/1qa37kp .

Please read these articles about Google PageSpeed:

    https://wp-rocket.me/blog/the-truth-about-google-pagespeed-insights/

    https://3catslabs.com/how-much-should-you-really-care-about-google-pagespeed-insights/

I recommend you to not rely on Google PageSpeed Insights as your site is really quite fast. Please read this post:

    https://gomakethings.com/the-danger-of-relying-on-your-google-pagespeed-insights-score-to-measure-web-performance/

When I checked the site on mobile, it loaded quite fast for me. Is it loading slowly for you on a mobile device?

    Regards.

    Hello Tatyana

Thank you for your good advice and for taking such a thorough look at the website. You have given me a lot of pointers.

I will look at the links you have provided. The site loads quite fast on mobile but I was concerned about the PageSpeed Insights not looking so good. I will look into why I should not rely on this alone.

    Best regards,
    Willem
