    Hi,

I haven’t visited my website https://www.mariewengler.com for a few months due to work, and now I wanted to update the site with new information but gets the message that:

“A critical error has occurred on your site. Please check your site’s administrator email inbox for instructions.”

In my inbox I receives the following message:

    Hi!

From WordPress 5.2, there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme is to blame for a bug on your site, and notifies you through this automated email.

In this case, WordPress has found a bug in your theme, JupiterX.

    First, visit your website (

) and see if there are any visible problems. Next, visit the page where the error was found (
    https://www.mariewengler.com/wp-admin/
) and see if there are any visible problems.

Contact your host for help investigating this issue further.

If your page appears to be broken and you do not have access to your control panel as usual, WordPress now has a special “restore mode”. This lets you log in securely to the control panel so you can investigate the error further.

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Do not worry. If the error occurs again, after this time, a new email will be sent to you.

If you are asking for help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 5.6.6
Current theme: JupiterX Child (version 1.0.0)
    Current plugin: (version)
    PHP version 8.0.14

I cannot access the dashboard so I don’t know what to do. I can login but cannot edit anything. Please access my website and help me figure out what is wrong. It is quite important for me.

    Hello,

To fix the issue I updated your theme to the latest version 1.26.0.

    Please check the site now.

    Regards.

WONDERFUL! I can get into the website now 😀 You’re a wizard!

Anything I need to know so I don’t end up the same place again? Any specific plugins you would recommend I update first?

    Alexander Hutsol Support Team

    Hello,

I assume you updated the Jupiter X Core plugin and left the old theme version, so that caused the issue.

To avoid such problems, you need to update the theme at first and then all required plugins.

Anyway, if you face any problems you can contact us to get help 🙂

    Regards.

    Marie Wengler

Ok – got it 🙂 Thank you so much for your great help. I love your support and the theme. I recommend Artbees to everyone I know 🙂

    You’re most welcome Marie 🙂
