#50900 Font sizes set in Typography don’t change on the front-end
Eleven 6 months, 3 weeks ago
We are experiencing some issues with the theme customizer’s Fonts and Typography, more specifically the settings for heading tags.
We are using a custom font, which we’ve uploaded through a plugin you recommended (Use Any Font). In the plugin settings, we’ve chosen that the said font applies to H1, H2 & H3. And it does apply to those heading tags.
Next, we set all font sizes from Jupiter X -> Customizer -> Fonts & Typography. The font sizes for headings however, did not apply on the website.
When we open the customizer, it clearly shows that all fonts are correctly sized, however the pages tell a different story. Here’s an example of how it looks in the customizer: https://www.screencast.com/t/07OuOtJOZ vs. on the page: https://www.screencast.com/t/YKSNqtAQ0. We’ve deleted the font-size on every text block & heading and put the correct heading tags (H1, H2, etc.).
We thought that it might be a problem with the custom font, but turns out not. To test, we added Montserrat (one of the fonts you support) and set it to appear on H1, H2 & H3. It did update the font to Montserrat, but the font size still wasn’t correct. So we came to the conclusion that it wasn’t the font that made those problems.
For body texts we’re also using a custom font that we’ve uploaded through Use Any Font. Again, we set the body texts font size in the Customizer and deleted any custom font size on the page and it updated and is working correctly.
We’ve also tried enabling and disabling Elementor’s custom fonts. The only difference it makes is that when we have “Default” picked up in the Customizer, a sans-serif font loads on the page, instead of the font we’ve picked. No luck with sized though.
We’ve tested on Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and MS Edge and we’ve cleared our cache.
Do you have any idea why we may be experiencing those problems? Please check what the issue may be and get back to us!
