#80341 Jupiter update from 5.9.2 issues
pere-bd3f52d8 3 weeks, 3 days ago
I have I client ho had a Jupiter 5 version (5.9.2) with all the stuff included like “Contact forms” “cache settings” and others. I recently updated the template to the last version and I realized that now is not Jupiter, is Jupiter X. No caching options, no forms (so I have old shortcodes in the website), and all the site seems kind of “broken” with broken header, shortcodes, broken footer widgets… Also my child theme converted automatically to Jupiter X child.
Could you help me please? 🙂
I left those 3 themes: Jupiter 5, Jupiter X & child theme.Danish Iqbal Support Team 3 weeks ago
Jupiter 5 and Jupiter X are two different themes of the same Jupiter product.
For Jupiter 5, its better to update to Jupiter 6 latest version which currently is 6.7.0
Could you please allow me to remove Jupiter X and install Jupiter 6 latest version?
Also, allow me to delete the child themes and install the proper plugins/child theme related to Jupiter 6?

I have a daily backup! 🙂
Can you change my license also from X to 6.7?

I removed all the Jupiter themes and installed the Jupiter 6.
I also installed the required plugins and updated the plugins.
Please check the site and let me know.

You’re welcome 🙂
Don’t worry about the license, it will work on both Jupiter X and Jupiter 6.

I just realized that you didn’t maintain child theme, could you d that? 🙂Danish Iqbal Support Team 2 weeks ago
A child theme is only needed when you want to overwrite the parent theme files. If you are not overwriting anything, then, there is no need to add a child theme.
Let me know if you still want it, I will add it then.

It will be great as I had it before updating 🙂
Let me ask you couple of fast questions, if you need another topic let me know 🙂
- Is there anyway to add a shortcode to everypage using hooks?
- I disabled wp bakery because if I have it Elementor can’t save pages (server error). I neither need Jupiter Donut but it shows me a warning saying I need those plugins installed and activated.. (screenshot)
Thank’s again!Danish Iqbal Support Team 1 week, 6 days ago
1 – Alright, I have installed the child theme for you.
2 – Yes, you can add a shortcode to all the pages using a hook but that would require custom coding for which you will have to consult a developer.
3 – Yes, its a warning by the theme because WPBakery and Jupiter Donut are recommended plugins to be used with the Jupiter 6 theme. But don’t worry, you can ignore the warning.
