Letter spacing on small devices.

Hello,

 

I’m using Lekton as the main font on my newly designed website. The Lekton letter spacing on the desktop looks as it should at 4px or 8px, but on my iphones and ipads certain letters revert to 0px (zero). So basically for each word some letters are spaced and some aren’t (I have attached an image as an example of this) .  Iv tried other fonts and they seem to hold their letter spacing consistently.

Am I doing some thing wrong or is Lekton not fully compatible?

I forgot to mention that when I format the words in italic the letter spacing appears to be consistent when been viewed on small devices.  But the text for most of my website is not formatted in italics.

Hello Marvin,

 

I checked your site and yes, you are right, there seems to be some issue with the letter spacing.

Though, the issue seems to be happening on the IOS devices irrespective of the browser. I think this is most probably the font incompatibility with the IOS devices because it seems to be working fine on other devices.

Did you try some other font other than the “Lekton”?

Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes I tried other fonts and and the spacing was fine in this case.

Is there a work around for the inconsistent letter spacing of “Lekton”? or some sort of updated “Lekton” font?

Hello Marvin,

 

I checked the internet but unfortunately, I couldn’t find anything useful regarding the “Lekton” font’s incompatibility with the IOS devices.

This would require us to either contact the Google fonts or the Apple support which seems a long shot.

One thing that you can try is to ask a question on Stack Overflow and see if someone can help with it. I will also try this and will inform you in case, I get any promising answers.
