Is it possible to overwrite a Jupiter X widget?

    I’ve found this page: https://themes.artbees.net/docs/overriding-widgets/

But that’s only explaining how to do that with the “normal” Jupiter theme. Is something like that also possible with the Jupiter X theme?
I need to overwrite the “jupiterx-widget-nav-menu-vertical” widget.

    Hello Robert,

Unfortunately, there is no document yet for overriding the Jupiter X widgets and I am not even sure if it’s possible to do that.

You will most probably have to make this change in the theme or the Jupiter  X Core plugin itself.

    Regards.

    Hi Danish,

Okay, but when I update the theme, I have to redo that change every time?

    Regards,

    Robert

Can you tell me where I can find the HTML markup of the “jupiterx-widget-nav-menu-vertical” module? I need to change the order of the ul and the li.

I want to place the sub-menu beneath the main menu items.

    Hi Robert,

Jupiter X is using Nav Walkers to override the classes and the structure of the top menu, but except for adding a class to the container element of the widget Nav Menu, it doesn’t use any overrides for this widget. So, the ultimate solution for your issue is to add a custom nav walker like what is explained here:

    https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/53950/add-a-custom-walker-to-a-menu-created-in-a-widget

So, it’s all related to WordPress itself and has nothing to do with the theme.

By the way, as far as I know, the vertical menu in WordPress accepts the sub-menus. Check my screenshot to see what I mean.
