    Hi,

we are running a school blog with multiple authors. Recently we noticed an issue with the URLs on the page 2 (or more) pagination of posts by all post authors being redirected to a blog post with a similar slug.

    For example:

    • On an author overview of posts by any of the authors
      (ie. blog.domain.net/[post-author]),
    • clicking on Page 2 (or more) button
      (ie. blog.domain.net/[post-author]/page/2/),
    • URL redirects to a similarly named blog post by another author
      (ie. blog.domain.net/[other-post-author]/[category-name]/2-day-post[or similarly named post]/

The issue is only present on author pages. Pagination on category or tag overview pages works without a problem.

Permalinks are set to: blog.domain.net /%author%/%category%/%postname%/

Also, no redirection plugin is used.

What could be the issue and how to solve it?

    Hi there,

I just re-saved the permalinks and the issue was resolved. I didn’t touch anything, but after resaving the permalinks, the author’s page URL has changed to:

    blog.domain.net/author/[author_name]/page/[2]

Apparently, previously it had an issue in the permalinks and re-saving it resolved the problem.

    Bests
