    I have noticed the portfolio on the home has an error. I have tried to check what the problem is but I am not sure to be honest.
    The elements on the second line are not aligned. 2 of them are lower.
    4 elements on the first line
    2 elements on the third line
    2 elements on the second line
    It looks strange.

    Also, is it possible to edit the hover effect and display only the ‘+’ icon on the image?

    Hello there!

    Please try the below CSS in Theme Options > Advanced > Custom CSS:

    .home .mk-portfolio-grid-item .item-holder {
        height: 175px;

    Is it possible to customise the hover effect on the portfolio?
    1. change the colour instead of black
    2. remove the categories displayed there
    3. change the title size and style always displayed on the hover effect.

    Hi Silvia,

    Please use this CSS fix:

    /* change the portfolio hover color */
    body .mk-portfolio-item.slidebox-hover .image-hover-overlay {
        background-color: #cb0d0d !important;
    /* remove categories from the portfolio hoverlay */
    .mk-portfolio-item .portfolio-categories, .mk-portfolio-item .portfolio-categories a, .mk-portfolio-item .portfolio-date {
        display: none
    /* change the font size */
    .mk-portfolio-item .the-title {
        margin-bottom: 0px;
        font-size: 10px !important;
    /* adjust the size of the title after changing the font size */
    .mk-portfolio-item.slidebox-hover .portfolio-meta {
        padding: 10px 10px 10px;
