    Hello,

    I asked for a fix for this before and you told me this:
    <div class=”gmail_default”>You need copy the file from the parent theme jupiter/views<wbr />/blog/components/blog-similar-<wbr />posts.php to the child theme with the same directory structure j<wbr />upiter-child/views/blog/compon<wbr />ents/blog-similar-posts.php <wbr />and edit the lines 48-50:

    $image_src = Mk_Image_Resize::resize_by_id_<wbr />adaptive( get_post_thumbnail_id(), 'crop', $width, $height, $crop = true, $dummy = true);

    $output.= '<img src="' . $image_src['dummy'] . '" />echo' => false)) . '" />';

    to

    $image_src = wp_get_attachment_url(get_<wbr />post_thumbnail_id());

    $output.= '<img src="' . $image_src . '" />echo' => false)) . '" />';

    </div>

    We implemented it and fixed it. But again, when I update the theme the issue gets back.

    How to fix this definitively?

    PS: please delete ab0ve links (an option to create private tickets would be great…)

    Thank you

    Hi josephhh

    I spend a good time investigating this issue, this is what I did, downloaded your child theme and installed in my test site, where I had a previous version of the theme, then I made changes in the child theme according to your edits, I did an update and changes made in the child theme were not changed, I did the same process but this time I updated wp theme from the Appearance >Themes, the result is always same, no changes are made in the child theme.

    josephhh, using a child theme in this and similar scenario is one of the best features of WordPress, we can made any changes in the child theme and while updating the parent theme all the changes will remain as is, child theme will not be changed in any way.

    In order to make sure, lets further test it, make changes in your child theme, downgrade Jupiter to the previous version and let me update it, if there is something odd I will catch it

    Best regards

    josephhh

    Ok, will do and get back in touch.

    Any update on my other open ticket – it’s urgent by now.

    Thank you

    So, should I consider the issue resolved?

    Regards

    josephhh

    No.

    I did this so that you can check why changes are reverted after updating the theme.

    Hi Joseph

    Sorry about that, are you updating theme from the theme options panel or from the WordPress theme updater?
    May I test it too?

    Hi joseph

    Thanks

    I just made an update from the Appearance > Themes and as I expected all the changes made in the child theme remain the same, can you please try it yourself?

    Regards

    josephhh

    <p style=”text-align: left;”>Hello,</p>
    Yes it’s working. Well, I can’t explain it. Maybe it only happens after some theme updates?! Unless there’s another explanation…

    I’ll add the code to the child theme of live site again…but I’m sure it will be reverted in one of the next updates..it already happened 4 or 5 times before…

    Tks
