We are needing to figure out how to edit the settings on an RSS feed that we created. This is the feed: https://kualumni.org/feed/?post_type=events. The feed is pulling event information from a custom post type we created called Events. The issue we have is that instead of pulling and displaying the event date the published date is being displayed instead. Is there a way to edit the feed so that it pulls the event date? We have not found a way to do that yet.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ryan,

This requires custom code modifications which would be out of the support scope. It is possible to use a filter to modify the RSS feed. I checked the source code here and realized it is applying a filter named get_feed_build_date in the function get_feed_build_date(), so it must be possible to modify it via the add_filter() function somehow. However, it requires custom coding and will be definitely out of the support scope. In case you need someone to develop this for you, please contact WPDone:
