I’m using your contact for here on this website https://www.ecosoulericeira.com/pt-pt/contactos/

It is jupiter 6 form and has your captcha.

My client is complaining that is receiving lots of spam.

    How can we solve this?

    Hi There

When using the default PHP mailer(the programming language that WordPress is based on) in WordPress, especially on shared servers, emails will often be sent to the spam or junk by receiving email systems. Why does this happen? One problem is the “envelope sender” not being set.

The easiest way to fix the spam problem is to use an SMTP plugin. These plugins use the SMTP protocol to send an email rather than the WordPress PHP email function. You will need an email provider. Such as the email that comes with your web hosting account a provider like Gmail. You’ll also need to find your SMTP server details and username and password.

Thanks for your reply, however it doesn’t answer the problem.

The problem isn’t the emails going to the spam folder, the problem is receiving lots of junk emails from spammers, despite the form having your captcha.

    What can we do?

    Hey there

That’s so sad to read, this is the default Recaptcha option that is built-in in the contact form and there is no other option to change it,
as an alternative, you may try to implement some third-party contact forms like COntact form 7 with a better choice of the Recaptcha like Google, Contact form 7 also has some extensions dedicated to spam filtering.

Hope this helps a little bit 🙂
