Hello — thank you in advance for your help. I’m running into an issue where I have set up a custom header template for pages, that pulls the featured image as the background image and the page title, along with breadcrumbs. I have the template assigned to pages. You can see a sample of this here, and it is working well:

I tried adding an exception so that this doesn’t happen in the shop, and on the main shop page, the exception works:

However, when you click into a category, rather than show the Category title and ideally an image that we could choose, it shows the title and image of the first product in the category:

    How can I fix this?

I have seen just recently that perhaps I can rebuild the shop with Jet Woo Builder, which I would like to do in the future but I need a quick solution right now as the site needs to go live.

Please help! I really appreciate it, and thanks for the great theme, as you can see I’ve used it a lot.

    Thank you

    Hi Daniel,

Well instead of the Post Title element on your section template, you need to use the Archive Title template. That’s how it works. The only issue is this and will be resolved if you use Archive Title instead. You may need to add some more exceptions and have two different section templates, one with the Post Title and the other with the Archive Title and use them in proper places.

“Is it possible to assign different section templates to the shop vs. posts and pages?” – Yes, in this case you need to use JetWoobuilder, you can set templates for from Woocommerce > Settings > JetWoobuilder

Page title, please check again, should be disabled, im attaching image

“If I create a second template that is “Archive Title” ” – Yes, but you need to set it from JetWoobuilder settings
