Hi there,
I know we’ve had this issue for a few years and not sure we’ve ever asked – is there a way for Jupiter to auto generate Visual Composer page meta descriptions using a standard Yoast template like %%excerpt%%?
I found http://shitalmarakana.com/add-meta-description-pages-divi-builder-yoast-seo-plugin-without-use-excerpt-variable/ which does similar for Divi, just didn’t know if I was missing an approach that currently exists to let Yoast auto generate based on the content IN Visual Composer.
Thanks so much-

I found there were some incompatibilities with Yoast and WPBakery, but seems they fixed it in the new version.
Is your SEO plugin updated?

Thank you.
Looking forward to your reply.

Tatyana Hutsol Support Team 8 months agoHello,
As you know, the Yoast plugin fetches the first sentences of the page content, since the page is built with shortcodes, it can not parse the shortcodes. For now, it’s best to edit the description field in every page and enter a custom text. Actually, it’s somehow better, because it gives you the power to write specific description for your page.
In order to see the below field, please click on the description and the below filed for editing description will be shown.
Thank you for understanding.
Regards.
Horton Foundry 8 months agoYes that’s how we’ve been doing it for years until we realized some other themes write in something to pull text from the shortcodes so thought I’d ask, thanks.
